Astroturfing In Action!

Funny how Nancy Pelosi knows so much about “astroturfing” (fake grassroots) and so little about real America!

Now, courtesy to Michelle Malkin and Gateway Pundit for posting this report by El Marco in Denver.

This is Laura Avant. She has a degree in social working science, is a substitute teacher, and has been unemployed for seven years. She is taking names for a petition and when I asked her how she found out about the event she said “My organizer called me.” I said “You’re kidding.” She said, “No, look: he’s right there -pointing to the guy with the bullhorn – he’s from Organizing for America.”

At this point, a number of the astroturfers departed, including Laura. She told me that transportation was waiting to take them to Nancy Pelosi’s next event at Highlands Ranch.

  1. Astro turfing is just not right if not unethical. i wonder why there hasnt been tough law action against it. It is unprofessional for companies to use astroturfing against other companies to up their own market. But i find it very thought provoking that political parties would venture through that same road in the expense of the people who are looking up to them for a better change in their communities. Astroturfing is a political propaganda which doe not harm the opposing political party but the communities who buy into it, for instance taxpayers money is not benefitting the tax payer because some politian decided to establish fake activists against lets say Obamacare…this is just an example. If only all the energy put into astroturfing in the political realm was shifted towards a better and productive output that benefits the people rather than to win votes
