Obama’s Socialized Health Care Plan Announced – How’s Socialized Health Care Working In Our Prisons?
It’s getting so most “meaningful” political announcements arrive late Friday in the dead news cycle. Obama’s health care plan is available (h/t HotAir). This will take some time to digest, but let’s start at the beginning:
SEC. 2. DECLARATION OF RIGHTS.7 (a) RIGHTS OFPATIENTS TOCHOOSETHEIRDOC-8TOR.—It is the right of patients to select the doctor of9their choice.10 (b) DOCTOR-PATIENTRELATIONSHIP.—A strong11doctor-patient relationship is essential to the practice of12medicine, and patients have a right to an effective doctor-13patient relationship.14 (c) HEALTHPROFESSIONALSSHOULDJUDGEWHAT15Is BEST FORTHEIRPATIENTS.—Doctors, nurses, and16other health professionals have the right to judge what17is best for their patients.18 (d) No INTERFERENCEWITHTHESERIGHTS.—19Nothing in the this Act or the amendments made by this20Act interferes with the rights described in this section.SEC. 2. DECLARATION OF RIGHTS.
7 (a) RIGHTS OF PATIENTS TO CHOOSE THEIR DOC-
8 TOR.—It is the right of patients to select the doctor of
9 their choice.
10 (b) DOCTOR-PATIENT RELATIONSHIP.—A strong
11 doctor-patient relationship is essential to the practice of
12 medicine, and patients have a right to an effective doctor-
13 patient relationship.
14 (c) HEALTH PROFESSIONALS SHOULD JUDGE WHAT
15 Is BEST FOR THEIR PATIENTS.—Doctors, nurses, and
16 other health professionals have the right to judge what
17 is best for their patients.
18 (d) No INTERFERENCE WITH THESE RIGHTS.—
19 Nothing in the this Act or the amendments made by this
20 Act interferes with the rights described in this section.
Do you think the wording could be any “squishier” and non-committal? A right to an “effective doctor-patient relationship“? What in creation does that mean? And doesn’t the patient have some responsibility to judge what’s best for themselves? Why are patients left out of 2(c)?
And for a taste of government run health care in the USA, read up on the state of health care in our prisons. The number of lawsuits mentioned here has me wondering what CYA provisions are included in Obamacare . . . time to start reading!
